Mountain huts and bivouacs in Italy
In Italy there are more than 700 huts, located in the mountains, usually in the Alps or the Apennines. Not every base in the Italian mountains hides a hut. Often this is only bivouac or a place to rest at night. The huts in the mountains of Italy differ from places to stay overnight. Camp is usually known as a base camp for climbers without service. They are usually kept open.
The quality of accommodation in mountain huts is very different and each region has different level of service. If you, for example, come to one of the huts of Italy, which offers only common shower cabins and you decide to seek for another hut, it may happen that you will found in another place a common bedroom. Nevertheless, the number of mountain huts in Italy only increases from year to year. Currently many huts located in Italy can be compared with the Italian hotels. Of course, in the mountain huts for the arrival of tourists are prepared differently, not as in hotels. If you know your route in the mountains then you can stop in one of the huts. It is taken into account that many tourists come to the huts with the children. So here increases the number of installed playgrounds for children.
The most important thing here is that politeness and hospitality in the huts are on the first place. And this is one of the many reasons why the mountain huts in Italy are in high demand and quite popular among the tourists. Most of the huts in the mountains belong to the Italian Alpine Club. Those who need more information about joining the Italian Alpine Club can contact the main office located in Milan.
