In Venice will be held the festival of walks on bridges
The route of the festival "Up and down the bridges" runs in total through 45 bridges of Venice

Venice, standing on the water, is known for an abundance of bridges. One of the main distinguishing features of the urban landscape, bridges, enjoys the increased attention of tourists and love of the Venetians. You are able to make it sure once again on April 18, when the Venice festival of Su e Zo per i Ponti, or "Up and down the bridges" will be held.

Su e Zo per i Ponti is one of the oldest festivals in Venice. And from the rest of the holidays in Venice its feature is virtually complete absence of any specific attributes. Su e Zo per i Ponti is probably one of the best ways to get acquainted with Venice. Tourist has the chance not to choose one of the hundreds of standard tours, but learn the famous city, walking on the bridges with locals.

Su e Zo per i Ponti starts from the main square of Venice - Piazza San Marco. Here gather all those who intend to participate in the festival’s route. The task of the participants is to walk through 45 bridges in Venice. The festival has two key routes. The first with the length of 10.2 kilometers is designed for those who intend to walk the entire route of Su e Zo per i Ponti. The second half is shorter and is offered mainly for the impressive visitors who participate in the Su e Zo per i Ponti mostly as observers.

It should be noted that the "Up and down the bridge" is not a competition. This is a march, in which participants give a kind of tribute to the landscapes of Venice. Therefore, in the Su e Zo per i Ponti may participate both adults and children. It is not surprising that the Su e Zo per i Ponti is one of the most popular festivals in Venice.
