Italy is a country, which is known for its wide opportunities for tourism. But in Russia, lake tourism in Italy is known much less than beach holidays, tours of the Italian cities and vacations at ski resorts.
Lake Festival in Italy is an event that brings together several Italian lakes, including such well-known lakes as Como, Garda, Maggiore, and presents them as a single type of holidays in Italy.
At the festival of lakes there is a possibility to get acquainted with the nature of each lake, see its sights and learn about customs and cuisine of the region. At the festival will perform music bands, will be held specialized seminars and tastings of delicacies from all lake corners of Italy.
Lake Festival in addition to the "Big Three" - holidays on Como, Maggiore and Garda - will be presented tourist opportunities on the lakes of several regions of Italy. Thus, Trentino-Alto Adige region will present 4 its amazing lakes: Caress, Caldonazzo, Levico, Molveno and Tenno. Tuscany will present Lake Montepulciano. Region of Lazio will not stand aside: representatives of the region will tell the guests of the festival about the resort lake of Rome - Bolsena, as well as unique and protected areas of the Lake Sabaudia and Lake Vico. Sardinia, Apulia, Umbria, Basilicata, Friuli-Venezia Giulia - holidays on its lakes will also be presented at the festival in Iseo.
One of the highlights of the festival promises to be a wine-tasting feast at the Bontalago market, where will be held tasting of sausages, cheeses and other delicacies from villages and resorts of several small lakes in Italy. Tasting is expected to take place from 27 to 29 May.

The best rose will be chosen in Rome
Premio Roma international contest is a festival attracting representatives from around the world. This year the best rose will be chosen from 97 applicants. Different sorts of roses will be presented by flower growers from Italy, Poland, Denmark, France, Germany, Japan, Belgium, Denmark, Romania and Spain. The favourites are still unknown. It can only be mentioned that the winner of last year competition was the French specialist Michelle Rychardier and his pink roses.

Symbol of Venice will be closed for reconstruction
The city authorities intend to reconstruct one of the major architectural symbols of Venice - Rialto Bridge over the Grand Canal. For the last time Rialto was reconstructed more than 30 years ago and since then the increasing army of tourists didn’t add luster to the legendary attraction. Steps of the bridge were cracked and in 2011 one of the supporting pillars fall into the gulf waters.
