Park Hyatt Milan hotel, or rather its restaurant VUN, from now on is able to serve dishes to its guests on the designer kitchenware. Well-known British designer Paul Smith developed a series of exclusive dishes especially for the restaurant.
According to the hotel press release, Paul Smith is often visits Park Hyatt Milan. So, it is not surprising that the British master was inspired by the idea to create a special kitchenware, which could suit the exquisite dishes of the restaurant chef Andrea Aprea.
A unique collection of plates was produced in a limited edition. In total 200 plates were produced. They were manufactured by one of the most famous Italian porcelain manufactories Richard Ginori. Each plate is decorated with original hand-made ornaments from Paul Smith made by skilled craftsmen. In addition, each plate is individually numbered and personally signed by the designer.
Currently in Milan the season of sales is coming to an end. Joint action from Paul Smith and Park Hyatt Milan is designed to attract the attention of tourists, who are interested in fashion, unique cuisine of the restaurant and the hotel itself.
Cooperation of hotel companies with fashion designers is one of the important hotel trends of the last few years. Among the most famous modern "duets" is partnership of hotel giant Rezidor with Missoni fashion house. In addition, in late 2011 in Milan was held one of the most expected hotel openings in Europe. The first hotel of the Armani hotels chain in Milan was introduced by the famous fashion designer Giorgio Armani.
It is possible that cooperation of Hyatt and Paul Smith will also be not limited by designer plates. However, there is no information about the plans of expanding the partnership between the American hotel corporation and British clothing designer.
