It is expected that during the period preceding the accession to KHL the club and sponsors will make efforts to bring the team back in the Serie A of the national hockey championship in Italy and make it a leader of the championship.
Currently in KHL are represented clubs from 4 countries: Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Latvia. In the near future in the KHL will be included another new club. It is expected that it will be "Lev" from Slovakia.

Moreover, as possible candidates are considered clubs not only from Europe but also from Asia. In the future KHL is going to compete with NHL.
