River Landforms and a Viewpoint in the Nearby Area

In the vicinity of San Benedetto in Alpe, downstream, the Montone River forms two meanders deeply cut into the rock. The Meandri incassati are separated from one another by high ridges with very steep slopes and extensive rock outcrops. The Letto di Dante, a rocky viewpoint above the Acquacheta Valley, is also nearby. It can be reached from the circular hiking route via a short detour.
