Villamarina: Beaches, Zona Cesarini and Excursions
Beaches and the free Zona Cesarini
Villamarina has equipped sandy beaches, mainly used by families with children. These beaches form the town’s classic coastal area and represent a stay right by the sea. However, the beach offering is not limited to a single type: Zona Cesarini also provides a free beach area. The equipped sandy beaches and the free zone are therefore two different types of beach within Villamarina. For a stay by the sea, this distinction can serve as the starting point for planning the day without conflating the two areas.
Beach huts and pet-friendly area
Zona Cesarini is Villamarina’s free beach and offers free parasols beneath traditional beach huts. There are around twenty beach huts designed by renowned artists, available to tourists. Zona Cesarini also includes a large pet-friendly area. Visitors travelling with a dog can specifically include this area in their plans. The free parasols, traditional beach huts and pet-friendly area are all directly part of Zona Cesarini.
Raoul Casadei and museums in the surrounding area
The home of Raoul Casadei, the musician known as the “King of Liscio”, is located in Villamarina. The Casa Rossa di Alfredo Panzini museum is located nearby. The Savignano a Mare beach and Spiaggia Bellaria are also nearby. The Museo Casa Pascoli is additionally located in the area around Villamarina. Those who wish to include museums and Raoul Casadei in their day alongside the coast can note these destinations as separate itinerary items. For culture enthusiasts, Casa Rossa di Alfredo Panzini and Museo Casa Pascoli are available as specific museum destinations in the surrounding area.
Walks, cycle path and parasailing
From Villamarina, walks and cycling tours are possible along a cycle path towards Cesenatico or Gatteo a Mare. Walks and cycling tours involve different forms of movement, and planning does not require a specific route length. Brivido Water Sport offers parasailing at Bagno 42 in Villamarina. The cycle path provides a route on land, while this offering refers to an activity on the water. Both offerings can be considered independently when planning: the paths towards Cesenatico or Gatteo a Mare, and parasailing at Bagno 42. For the route on land, the distinction between a walk and a cycling tour remains; parasailing at Bagno 42 is an additional water-sports option.
Daily bus service in Villamarina
Villamarina is served daily by municipal buses. This bus service can be considered a separate mobility aspect when planning the day. Those using Villamarina as a base can include the municipal bus alongside the walking and cycling options. This provides several different forms of transport during the stay.
