The Terme di Tabiano thermal baths were founded in 1841 thanks to Duchess Maria Luigia d’Austria. To this day, Terme di Tabiano is a reference centre for the prevention and treatment of respiratory diseases in adults and children. Access to the thermal pools at Terme di Tabiano is available from the age of 14. T-Spatium includes a sulphurous water pool heated to 32 to 35 °C, a sauna, a bio-sauna, a Turkish bath, a Kneipp circuit, a whirlpool and aroma showers. The facilities allow for a clear thematic focus on heat, water and treatments, without limiting the wellness area to a single experience.

Cycling and Nature along the Rio Gardello

The „Around Tabiano“ mountain bike route begins at the T-Club car park in Tabiano.

In the immediate vicinity of Bagni di Tabiano, the Rio Gardello Trail follows the Rio Gardello as a nature walk. The trail also provides insights into the natural environment of the Parco dello Stirone e Piacenziano.

Historical Evidence in the Surrounding Area

In the immediate vicinity of Bagni di Tabiano, Castello di Tabiano preserves two circular towers from the 12th century, parts of the stone curtain wall and a 13th-century watchtower with a drawbridge. The surviving structures connect different medieval periods at a historic site and make the castle a concrete destination for those interested in culture.

Chiesa S.S. Gervasio e Protasio is also located in the immediate vicinity of Bagni di Tabiano and preserves oil paintings. These include a work by F. Pescatori and a Last Supper dated 1636 bearing Picelli’s signature. Those interested in sacred art will therefore find another cultural focal point here alongside the medieval castle complex.

Getting There via Fidenza and Parma

By train, you can reach Salsomaggiore Terme via Fidenza station on the Milan–Bologna line. The metro line there runs every 30 minutes; there is then a bus connection to Tabiano Terme.

By car, you can reach the Salsomaggiore-Tabiano direction via the A1, taking the Fidenza-Salsomaggiore exit, which is 11 km away, or via the A15 Parma–La Spezia, taking the Parma Ovest exit. From there, follow the signs via Fidenza and then towards Salsomaggiore-Tabiano.
