Culture among Organs, Churches and Art
If you would like to get to know Sorbolo through its culture, the organ offers a particularly tangible starting point. Its restoration began in August 2008 and was completed on 15 September 2009; the instrument was thereby returned to its original appearance. Two significant dates are also important for the organ in Sorbolo's parish church: in 1834, the first instalment was paid to the organ builder Giovanni Cavalletti, and in 1836 the instrument was completed. It has 17 stops.

The Church of the Martyrs Faustino and Giovita has its present appearance as a result of rebuilding after the earthquakes of 1831 and 1832, as well as subsequent consolidation and restoration work following the severe earthquake of 15 July 1971. Remains of the original Pieve di San Faustino can be seen beneath the presbytery and along the side aisles. The ancient Pieve di San Faustino is dated to the 11th century.
Culture in the Town Hall and the Centro Civico
The council chamber of Sorbolo Town Hall displays significant plaster works by the sculptor Luigi Froni. His widow, Renata Fornelli Froni, donated the works to the municipality of Sorbolo. Another work is located in the Centro Civico Culturale di Sorbolo, the former Casa Pezzani: a significant bronze work by Luigi Froni depicting the actor Memo Benassi can be seen there.
Historic Buildings and Public Places
Casa Pezzani was restored while preserving the existing building fabric and floor areas. Multipurpose rooms and a public park were created in the building. The Biblioteca Comunale Momo is located in one of the oldest rural buildings in the Bassa Parmense; this building dates from 1700. In Sorbolo, you will therefore encounter different historical layers, ranging from the medieval Pieve to more recent restoration projects.

The Centro sportivo di Sorbolo has athletics tracks, football pitches, facilities for hockey and roller skating, indoor halls and two tennis courts. The centre is associated, among other things, with athletics, gymnastics, football, roller skating, basketball, volleyball and tennis. This range appeals to different interests without limiting Sorbolo to a single travel experience.
Sorbolo is connected to the Food Valley Bike route. The town is also associated with pasta made from local products such as wheat, tomatoes and Parmigiano Reggiano, available for tasting. In the wider surroundings of Sorbolo lies Parma Morta, a wetland approximately 5 kilometres long established in the former bed of the Torrente Parma. Parma Morta is an important reference point for waterbirds. Fifteen bird species listed in Annex I of Directive 79/409, as well as 56 regularly migrating bird species not included in this annex, have been recorded there. Those interested in wetlands and birdlife will find a clearly defined natural attraction in the surroundings of Sorbolo.
