The structure of the Convento di San Giovanni that can be seen today was created from the early 1600s onward on top of a church and buildings erected by the Order of the Humiliati in the 14th and 15th centuries. The former Convento di San Giovanni later served as a hospital, button factory, prison and barracks.

The Centro Culturale Aldo Braibanti is located in a former slaughterhouse and hosts events and exhibitions of various kinds. The exhibition space is open during scheduled events and exhibitions. A tradition of its own is “Ponta e cül,” a traditional battle with hard-boiled eggs that takes place in Fiorenzuola Dʼarda in Piazza Molinari on Easter and Easter Monday. The ticket office of the Teatro Comunale Giuseppe Verdi is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; on performance evenings, it opens from 7:00 p.m. At Palazzo Grossi, you should bear in mind that the building is privately owned and only the exterior decorations can be viewed.
