The Museo Archeologico della Val Tidone is housed in the underground rooms of the Rocca Dal Verme. It presents the history of the area from prehistory through the Middle Ages to the Renaissance. The museum is divided into three rooms, each dedicated to a different historical period. This provides visitors who wish to explore the development of Val Tidone without specialist knowledge with a clear chronological orientation.
The Roman exhibits cover everyday life as well as religion, trade, banquets and personal care. The focus is therefore not only on a single historical period, but also on different aspects of life at the time. Churches and traces of settlements
The parish church of Pianello Val Tidone was built outside the town walls in 1250 and extended in 1377.
Piana di San Martino features a religious area with a necropolis and a church that was used until the Renaissance and was originally dedicated to San Giorgio. Piana di San Martino also has a residential area with an oven and a large cistern. The residential area complements the religious area with concrete traces of domestic life.
