The Gessi messiniani di Borzano belong to the Ca' del Vento, Ca' del Lupo e Gessi di Borzano Special Area of Conservation. Since 19 September 2023, they have been inscribed as natural heritage of humanity as part of the UNESCO World Heritage site “Karst and Caves in the Evaporites of the Northern Apennines”. This classification also makes the area's distinctive geological formations interesting for travellers who want not only to photograph landscapes but also to gain a deeper understanding of their origins and unique character. Hiking on the Anello di Ca' del Vento
