It leads to the former accommodation of the quarry workers, where numerous historically interesting tools and materials have been preserved. Cava Buscada can be reached on foot from Erto via CAI Trail 381. In addition, a forest road leads from “Stei de Conte” towards Casera Mela and on to Cava Buscada; the route is approximately 4.5 kilometres long and can also be travelled by bicycle.

The Vajont Dam and Memorial Sites

At the Vajont dam in Erto e Casso, there is a short, 50-minute guided tour along the crest. If you would like to explore the history of the entire Vajont disaster in greater depth, excursions to the memorial sites are also possible.
