Vivaro and the Magredi

Vivaro is encompassed by the Magredi, a landscape area designated as a Zona Speciale di Conservazione (ZSC) in November 2013. The Magredi landscape was formed by gravel deposits from the Cellina and Meduna torrents. When planning a stay in Vivaro, this natural area can be considered as a separate focus. The Magredi can therefore be planned independently of any individual historical site.

Church, mills and Lataria

The Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta is a neoclassical church. It was completed in 1870 and consecrated on 19 November 1909 by Bishop Francesco Isola. The Mulino di Vivaro dates back to 1341. Historically, it was always powered by the water of the Roggia di Vivaro, which is diverted from the Cellina.

The Lataria is a typical building made of exposed hewn stone. It was built by its members in 1929 and served as Vivaro's social dairy until 1981.

Archaeological traces in the surrounding area

The Science Centre Immaginario Scientifico Pordenone and the Museo Archeologico del Friuli Occidentale are located in the vicinity of Vivaro. The Antiquarium di Tesis is considered the province's richest collection of Roman finds, particularly iron artefacts. The Mulin da la Miuta is an old 14th-century mill used for grinding grain.
