Aiello del Friuli: Sundials, History and Rural Paths

The secular part of the Centa comprises two stone buildings from the late Middle Ages, possibly dating from the 15th century. One of them is known as the “canipa”. The medieval Centa outside Joannis was probably a fortified defensive complex.

The “Green Route” in Aiello del Friuli connects villages, rural surroundings and springs between Joannis and Novacco. Its route passes historic villas, tree-lined paths and sundials.
