Villa di Prampero and Chiesa di Sant'Antonio Abate

Villa di Prampero is a complex consisting of a villa with side wings, several outbuildings and a family chapel. Its grounds include a landscaped park with fountains, ponds and grottoes. It is thought to have originated in the 17th century; its present architectural form dates from the renovation carried out between 1875 and 1877. The interior frescoes can be dated to the 17th century. The ensemble thus combines architectural history, parkland and artistic decoration.

The Chiesa di Sant'Antonio Abate also dates back a long way. The first building dates from the second half of the 14th century. After a fire caused by lightning, the church was completely rebuilt in 1579. The bell tower was built in 1790. The church thus reveals, in succession, medieval origins, reconstruction in the early modern period and an 18th-century bell tower.

Via Matteotti and rural settlement structure

Via Matteotti preserves the urban and architectural structure of a rural Friulian village. Some building façades along the street are protected by the Soprintendenza. A striking detail can be seen on the façade of the Vaccaro house: it features a winged lion with the year 1556.

Walking paths on the Roccolo and the Cormor Cycle Route

On the hill known as the Roccolo, walking paths run through meadows, vineyards and mixed oak and chestnut woods. From there, there is a view over the Cormor valley. For cyclists, the Cormor Cycle Route is also associated with the area, as it passes through Tavagnacco.

Tavagnacco and its asparagus tradition

The cultivation of white asparagus was introduced in Tavagnacco almost by chance in the 19th century. The Sagra degli Asparagi takes place every year in April and May at Parco di Tavagnacco. Asparagus is therefore not only part of the agricultural tradition, but is also associated with a recurring festival in the annual calendar.

The first edition of the Festa degli Asparagi di Tavagnacco took place on 19 May 1935. The Festa degli Asparagi includes an asparagus exhibition and a competition among farmers from Friuli and Veneto for an award for the best producer. This combination of a regional product, an exhibition and a farmers' competition gives the culinary theme a distinctly local connection.

Adegliacco and 20th-century history

The hamlet of Adegliacco in the municipality of Tavagnacco is home to the only war cemetery in Friuli: a British cemetery with Allied casualties from the Second World War.
