Stalettì and its routes to Ardesio, Cerete and Valcanale

Around Staletti, routes run below the town, by the houses of Staletti and along Contrada Staletti. They lead toward Ardesio, Cerete, via Rova and in the direction of Valcanale. Marked trails, an unpaved turnoff, a mule track and a municipal road make up the various sections.

Hiking trails with clear route connections

The loop variant of the Sentiero delle Orobie begins in Ardesio, follows Trail No. 220 and then the path to the Cappelletta degli Alpini. The Sentiero Occidentale is marked in blue; it takes 1 hour and 45 minutes. The duration of 1 hour and 45 minutes applies exclusively to the Sentiero Occidentale, not to the branching path. Just below Staletti, an unpaved path branches off from it toward the Cappelletta degli Alpini.

In the section below Staletti, the Sentiero Occidentale offers a view of the built-up area of Ardesio. After the section near Staletti, the trail leads into the village of Rova and descends to Ponte Seghe.

From Ludrigno via Staletti and onward into the valley

The Villa d’Ogna-Novazza route leads from Ludrigno to the houses of Staletti and reaches Cerrete di Ardesio at an elevation of 793 metres. On the Da Ludrigno a Cacciamali hike, blue and purple trail markings lead from the starting car park to Contrada Staletti in just under half an hour. The journey of just under half an hour from the starting car park to Contrada Staletti forms a clearly defined section of the hike.

At Staletti, the Da Ludrigno a Cacciamali hike passes between houses and farm buildings with views of Ardesio below before reaching the municipal road to Cerete. After the section through Staletti and Cerrete, the Villa d’Ogna-Novazza route follows a broad mule track along Monte Secco toward Valcanale.

The first section of the Sentiero dei Sapori leads from Valzelle di Ardesio via Ludrigno to Staletti and then onward to Cerete and Cacciamali.

Cycling routes and notable waypoints

For cyclists, two different route connections are particularly relevant: the Giro dell’Alto Serio Km.16 reaches the paved road connecting the valley floor with Cerete; by the houses of Staletti, the Alto Serio Km.16 MTB route passes a concrete staircase by the Chapel of Saints Peter and Paul.

Time and trail surfaces when planning tours

For a short hike, the 1-hour-and-45-minute duration of the Sentiero Occidentale provides a fixed time frame. The Da Ludrigno a Cacciamali hike, by contrast, leads from the starting car park to Contrada Staletti in just under half an hour. On cycling tours, the paved road on the valley floor and the concrete staircase by the houses of Staletti differ in terms of surface. For an individual tour around Staletti, both the time to Contrada and the change from valley floor to staircase must therefore be taken into specific account.
