Cornale: History on the Po and Regional Cycle Routes

The castle of Cornale was restored by Nicolò Beccaria in 1408. Material from the destroyed Castle of Armentaria was used during the restoration.

In 1431, Filippo Maria Visconti granted Cornale as a fief to Guido Torello di Carrara. Historically, Cornale belonged to the Casei fief and passed from the Beccaria family to the Torelli of Ferrara.
