Hiking, Cycling and Views

The trail Anello dal capoluogo al Bric Andio starts in the main town of Montaldo Torinese at an altitude of 375 metres and reaches Bric Andio at 387 metres; the stated walking time is 1 hour and 35 minutes. On Bric Andio, the Quercia del Barbarossa marks the boundary between the territories of Montaldo Torinese and Andezeno. It was planted around 1800 as a landmark for travellers heading to Montaldo. From Bric Andio, there is a 360-degree panorama stretching from Colle Don Bosco across the Chierese area to the Basilica of Superga and the surrounding hills.

The cycling and walking trail of the Montaldo Green Festival, inaugurated in 2022, enables walks and bike rides through the green surroundings of Montaldo Torinese and leads to Big Bench No. 196 on the Montaldo hill. From there, the view extends to the Turin hills, the Basilica of Superga and the Alps.

Historic Sites and Art

The Pozzo di Napoleone lies on a broad plateau between the hills. According to local tradition, the site dates back to June 1800; Napoleon's troops camped there before the Battle of Marengo.

The parish church of Saints Vittore and Corona was built in 1723–1724 and defines the historic centre of Montaldo Torinese. The cemetery church of Saints Vittore and Corona is considered probably the oldest church in the municipality of Montaldo Torinese. It contains a carved stone block with a bas-relief of two Ouroboros snakes woven into interlaced rings.
