None Turin: Experience Castle History, Churches and Festivals

None Turin combines a multifaceted local history with religious buildings, recurring festivals and a permanent route through rural areas.

Castle History and Churches

The castle in None Turin was built in 1815 in connection with Count Adami Bergolo. The surviving building is known as Castello Quaranta. It takes its name from the Quaranta family, which later became its owner.

Another historical chapter was the castle’s use as the headquarters of the Carabinieri in 1818. At that time, they were known as the Brigata dei reali carabinieri a cavallo. In the parish church of None Turin, dedicated to Saints Gervasius and Protasius, the Piossasco family owned two chapels with associated burial sites.

The Church of San Rocco is located in the town center opposite Piazza Cavour. Its foundation dates back to 1522.

San Ponzio and Regional Festivals

The Santuario di San Ponzio is located in the area of None Turin beyond the Torrente Chisola and is visible along State Road 23. The exact origins of the sanctuary are unknown; its foundation is attributed to the 14th century.

On June 2, the Santuario di San Ponzio is celebrated with a Holy Mass, lunch and rural games. The date connects the religious site with a festival that also makes room for community and rural traditions.

The Fiera di San Martino in None Turin takes place every year on the second Tuesday in November. In February, the Carnevale degli Strambicoli also returns to the municipalities of Vinovo, Volvera, None Turin and Airasca.

During the Carnevale degli Strambicoli, allegorical floats made from reused materials travel through the streets and squares of None Turin. From November 29 to December 1, Natale al Cioccolato offers three days of chocolate tastings, workshops and performances.

Route Through the Countryside

The permanent route in None Turin begins at the Palazzetto dello Sport on Via Faunasco. It leads through the rural areas of the Riserva di None to Cascina Ollera and then returns to the starting point.
