Concei can be explored through its forests, trails and rural culture. Val Concei is largely covered by coniferous and deciduous forests; historic religious buildings and traditional architectural features complement the landscape. Forests and trails in Val Concei

The Sentiero Naturalistico Val Concei leads from Lenzumo through the forest to Faggio and offers several variants. This makes route planning flexible for different daily rhythms: you can make the route through the forest and to Faggio a focus in its own right.

The Giro delle baite di Concei leads from the forests around Rifugio Al Faggio to the meadows, huts and alpine pastures of Concei. It is considered a route for discovering the rural economy of the Ledro Valley. This means that, alongside the forest, the traditional use of the valley is also at the centre.

The nature trail through the valley floor of Val Concei also passes through the valley’s three settlements before reaching Rifugio al Faggio. For orientation purposes, the route through the settlements therefore matters here as well, not just the forest. Anyone wishing to combine nature and culture on a trip can distinguish between forest sections, areas on the valley floor and observations of historic or traditional building forms.

Churches and traditional architecture

The Church of the Presentation of Mary in Enguiso was consecrated in 1867. The church contains a Way of the Cross by Fasal. In Locca, a religious building dedicated to Saint Martin has been documented since the first half of the 16th century. These specific historical points of reference complement the routes through the valley.

Traditional architectural features have also been preserved in Locca, including granite portals and arcades beneath the eaves. Traditional hay barns can be observed north of Lenzumo. Anyone who also pays attention to the built environment during their stay will find different forms of rural design here.

A festival date in Lenzumo

The Pro Loco di Concei has announced a Sagra dei Mozac described as traditional for Lenzumo from 21 August to 23 August 2026. At the Sagra dei Mozac, Caponec were offered for sale. The date is a separate planning point if you would like to take this event into account.

Practical guidance for choosing your location

For the Giro delle cime – half route, Lenzumo is the nearest bus stop; from there, you need to walk 3 km to the start of the trail. When choosing accommodation for Concei, you can compare this route information with your daily plans. This makes it possible to decide whether the start of this tour or the routes through the valley floor and forest should be your priority.
