Madonna di Campiglio lies at an altitude of 1,550 metres in a hollow between the Brenta Dolomites and the glaciers of Adamello and Presanella. If you are looking for a hotel in this destination, you can choose between landscapes, trails, culture, regional products and winter sports. This leaves the choice of travel experience open: you can place nature and activity at the centre of your trip just as much as local history or alpine sports.

Landscape between the Brenta Dolomites and the glaciers

In Vallesinella, clear, fresh waters flow past impressive waterfalls through dense beech and fir forests up to an altitude of 2,000 metres. From there, you can enjoy views of the Vallesinella, Tuckett and Brenta glaciers. Lago Ritorto is the largest of Campiglio's five lakes and adds another distinctive destination to the landscape.

Culture and historic spaces

The Chiesa di Santa Maria Antica was built between 1894 and 1895 in the Neo-Gothic Tyrolean style. The Salone Hofer at the Hotel Des Alpes is a ballroom dating from the end of the 19th century. Gottfried Hofer created its frescoes and decorations between 1896 and 1897. Madonna di Campiglio has hosted the Carnevale Asburgico as a historical revival for more than 20 editions.

Winter sports with different profiles

The Canalone Miramonti is a technically demanding ski run with pronounced changes in gradient. A commission chaired by Bruno Detassis designed it in 1940. In the Grostè area, the Ursus Snowpark has more than 40 features across almost 100,000 m² for freestyle elements. The facilities are aimed at beginners, families and experienced freestyle athletes. The snowpark is served by the six-seater Grostè Express chairlift.

Trails, high-altitude destinations and family experiences

The Telecabina 5 Laghi takes you from the centre of Madonna di Campiglio to the Rifugio 5 Laghi at an altitude of 2,000 metres in just a few minutes. The Sentiero dell'imperatrice - malga Montagnoli is an easy walking trail in particularly attractive surroundings and is especially recommended for families. The Giro dei 5 Laghi is a classic, well-travelled and comfortable trail on the slopes of Presanella. Appropriate physical preparation is required for the length and duration of this hike.

Products from the on-site dairy

Malga Montagnoli combines an alpine pasture, a dairy and a catering establishment. The milk produced there is processed in the on-site dairy. Dispensa del Montagnoli offers cheese, butter, yoghurt and other organic products; at the restaurant-bar, you can taste them or buy them to take away.
