Villa Thiene and Chiesa di S. Giorgio

Villa Thiene was built around 1545–1546 for Marcantonio Thiene. It stands on the banks of the Tesina and is the seat of the municipal administration of Quinto Vicentino. The interiors can also be dated precisely: between 1553 and 1555, Giovanni De Mio frescoed the ceiling of the salon. The building can therefore be clearly placed in context both through its construction and through a later artistic treatment of its interior.

Chiesa di S. Giorgio is a parish church in Quinto Vicentino. Its construction period extends from the second half of the 18th century to the first quarter of the 20th century. While Villa Thiene is distinguished by a specific construction period and a precisely dated fresco cycle, Chiesa di S. Giorgio is defined by its ecclesiastical function and a longer period of construction. Farina Mill in Lanzè

Farina Mill is located in Lanzè, a hamlet of Quinto Vicentino. The mill was built in 1453. Its construction date predates the construction of Villa Thiene around 1545–1546, making it an earlier historical reference point among the buildings mentioned. The mill thus broadens the historical perspective on Quinto Vicentino with a distinct building from an earlier period.

Local Character and Regional Specialty

The 34th Sagra di San Michele, held under the name Festa dea Bisata, embodies the local character. It is scheduled to take place from 25 to 28 September 2026 in Valproto di Quinto Vicentino. The route is therefore defined not only by its name but also by its length, terrain, direction and the two locations mentioned along the way.
