Dolmens and Museo Galluras

The dolmens of Luras are burial monuments from the Late Neolithic period and are dated to between 3500 and 2700 BC. Dolmen Ladas is the most majestic of the four dolmens in the Luras area. The Museo Galluras is easy to reach in the historic centre of Luras and is housed in a typical Gallurese town house.

More than 7,000 exhibits are on display at the Museo Galluras. The combination of the extensive collection and the characteristic town house gives your visit a tangible connection to the Gallurese surroundings.

Landscape around Lake Liscia

The landscape around Lake Liscia includes rocks shaped by water and wind, oak forests and Mediterranean maquis vegetation. There are nature trails around Lake Liscia, and the lake can be explored by boat. When planning your activities, you can therefore choose between a walk in the surrounding area and a trip on the water. The landscape is shaped by the interplay of rocks, forest, Mediterranean vegetation and the lake.

Olivastro, tasting and boat trip

The Millenary Olivastro site is open from 1 April to 2 November from 10:30 a.m.; guided tours take place every day. During a visit to the Millenary Olivastro, homemade platters with local products are offered for tasting. As part of the Millenary Olivastro experience, you can also take a trip on Lake Liscia aboard the Pollux Boat. Daily guided tours provide a fixed structure for visits during this period.

The ancient sites of Tomba dei Giganti di Li Lolghi, Nuraghe Albucciu and Su Monte de S'Ape are located in the wider region surrounding Luras.
