For hikers, the stage can be planned as an independent trail section, with Monti as the starting point and the Caserma Forestale Bolostiu as the destination.
Historic town center and older remains
Buildings made of granite blocks have been preserved in the historic center of Monti. Monti’s Bronze Age heritage includes two giants’ tombs. The Church of San Michele Arcangelo stands beside preserved remains of stone burial sites and huts. Visitors interested in culture can focus on the building material in the town center and, at San Michele Arcangelo, on the preserved stone remains. The historical spectrum thus extends from visible architectural elements in the town center and Bronze Age remains to a church associated with stone remains in its immediate surroundings.
