The Museo della Statuaria Preistorica in Sardegna is housed in Palazzo Aymerich in the center of Laconi. Its tour comprises eleven rooms: Ten of them are dedicated to prehistoric menhirs and Sardinia's extensive collection of anthropomorphic prehistoric sculptures, while the eleventh gallery houses finds from megalithic burial contexts. The collection includes 36 monoliths found in Laconi, made from locally quarried trachyte. For visitors interested in cultural history, this creates a clear focus on Sardinia's prehistory and on the material used for local finds.

The sacred architecture also complements this picture. The Chiesa parrocchiale dei Santi Ambrogio e Ignazio was built in the 15th century and has been altered several times since then, particularly in the 19th century. The Chiesa di San Giovanni Battista preserves a medieval two-arched bell gable and nine roughly zoomorphic wooden sculptures that support the roof beams.

Parco Aymerich and Paths Through Nature

Parco Aymerich in Laconi covers just under 22 hectares. A network of paths leads through oak forests with springs and small lakes. The park also contains the preserved walls of Laconi's medieval castle. The Parco Aymerich–Punta Carradore T-261 hiking trail begins in Parco Aymerich and leads to Punta Carradore, where a statue of Sant'Ignazio stands. Laconi also has forest habitats for rare mammals and birds.

Religious Traditions and Local Character

The Santuario Sant'Ignazio da Laconi continues to welcome numerous worshippers every day. During the August celebrations, the number of visitors reaches several thousand. The birthplace of Sant'Ignazio is part of a religious tour through Laconi's historic center. The fires lit in January in honor of Sant'Antonio Abate are accompanied by a festival of typical sweet treats. Laconi is also an area rich in truffles.

The Nuraghi Mamusi and Fruscu, classified as historic sites, are located in the immediate surroundings of Laconi. The historic sites Nuraghe Olia and Nuraghe Enna are also located in the area.
